  • [The Wizard of Lies] achieves its greatest power as a character study.

  • Recuerdo que esta buena, y tiene buenos momentos. El final es lo mejor, que le cayo el karma por defraudar familias, no él directamente, pero con sus hijos, se quedo sin familia, cuando todo lo hizo por ellos.

  • Loved it! Michelle and Robert did wonders with this film.

  • One of the better Madoff movies (it shows the aftermath instead of during his scheming), but seriously, haven't we heard and seen enough of this guy already? I don't think we should popularize some guy who cheated people out of millions of dollars. The only thing that really made this movie OK was the cast (De Niro, Pfeifer). I feel like the TV series "Madoff" showed mostly all of what was in this movie, although not in depth as much.

  • Not nearly as good as ABC's mini series Madoff. But still gets a passing grade due to it's high impact cast and solid direction. The true story does little in the way of shedding new light on this much discussed topic.

  • Strong performances make this fact based drama enjoyable viewing even if it doesn?t tell the viewer anything new

  • Good story telling. Fine acting. This piece focuses on the intimate relationships of the Madoff family and how they played out after Bernie confessed to his sons. Only one scene clunked in the film, that of Bernie's cohort in crime joking at great length about "pussies". Not needed, and thrown in for no reason at all.

  • 1/2 Shakespearean tragedy, 1/2 history lesson, this is more compelling than the trailers make it look. It's not really a family, party, or date movie, but it's good nonetheless.

  • Excellent - excellent - excellent - I have seen this show about four times and I still tend to find something that I did not notice before! I adore De Niro's inhabiting the character and making it his own and I have a whole new found respect for Michelle Pfeiffer - her acting is top notch!

  • The Wizard of Lies ne donne malheureusement rien de plus par rapport à ce que l'on peut déjà connaitre de l'histoire, mais le film reste tout de même très bien fais et le casting est de très bonne qualité.

  • This is a mesmerizing film, with a great De Niro and an excellent Pfeiffer. I enjoyed it and recommend it. Afterwards, we can ask whether the film portray's Bernie correctly or not, but ultimately we need to hear from the experts to know the answer to that question. This film is basically a family drama, but it is based on Bernie's story that he was a legit guy who made one fatal decision, to cover up losses in the 2008 recession, and who could never recover.

  • In 2008, stockbroker, investment adviser and financier Bernie Madoff made headlines around the world when he was arrested for perpetrating perhaps the largest financial fraud in U.S. history.
