  • Despite bad reviews, I actually really enjoyed this, watched it on a flight from Iceland to New York. It kept me awake when I was sleep deprived. An interesting sci-fi, that was intriguing throughout.

  • I thought this was a pretty cool movie ! Acting was solid, concept is very cool. Reminded me a little bit of what would be the beginning trials of the anime Terraformers

  • Not horrible for a b film. The special effects are decent. The science at the center of the premise is super shaky and hard to swallow. The writing is bad, with some ultra cheesy moments. The politicking is lame. All that said, it keeps you entertained, even as the film focus changes from the training and "artificial evolution" (Rick) to more of a psychological study (Abigail).

  • People are too harsh in their criticism of this film. They obviously play very fast and lose with the science, but if you suspend your disbelief it's enjoyable. The biggest problems may have been answered by whatever lies on the cutting room floor; as more character development was needed. One final note, look up how cats show love/affection and see if you catch it.

  • ill just flat out say it the critics writing like they know what people want are fucking stupid claiming this film steals from others stfu this film was great the entire concept of saving the world threw forced evolution was interesting in its self but u add that the movie is a bout the processes of evolving makes it that much better cause you have no idea where the movie is going an ill leave it there!!!

  • Great sci-fi with a fantastic ensemble cast and a very relevant subject matter about a situation we may all find ourselves into in the not-so distant future. Great turn from Taylor Schilling from Orange is the New Black!

  • Figured I would come on here and actually leave a few ratings. This movie is quite amazing regardless of all the nah sayers who don't seem to know a good movie. I really hope they do a sequel to expand on the premise of this movie, although I don't really see that happening with the ratings it has received. That being said, Sam Worthington is an amazing actor and I like him in this movie. I liked him in this role I would just say maybe someone else should of had a shot seeing how we already seen him turn into an alien before. All in all great movie, Highly recommend!!

  • Personally I really enjoyed this movie as only half was actually sci-fi. The planet Titan does exist and would need our bodies to evolve to live on it even though it is the planet/moon with an atmosphere closet to ours.Obviously this movie needed a bit of extremely over the top sci-fi to entertain, because who'd watch it if it was just all scientific and true to life. Highly entertaining love/Sci-fi story and would recommend at least 1 watch.

  • Although begun with an interesting premise, that of engineering the species for life off-Earth, the follow-through is lethargic and uninspired. Tom Wilkinson does well as the scientist behind the idea, but he's done this kind of thing before and better, and there's just not enough going here to justify your time.

  • This movie rests on the tired premise that humankind will exhaust all its resources and have to flee to space to find a new home. What's interesting here is that the movie explores the questions: how would humans need to change biologically to live on a new world? It won't change your life but it does leave you room to wonder and marvel at the ideas it presents.

  • Full of interesting concepts and thought-provoking theories, I would recommend this to Sci-fi lovers only. It isn't full of action or thrilling, but the storyline was good and well portrayed. The ending was slightly unclear, but the entire movie got me thinking.
