  • A beautifully made film with everyone involved turning in excellent work. However, the director Paolo Virzì, Helen Mirren and the composer Carlo Virzì shine particularly brilliantly, in my opinion. Not an easy subject matter, but treated with respect, humour, bravery and maturity.

  • Great Performances from the two leads that make this hit your heart and your eyes watery. This is worth a watch and I think audiences over 50 will appreciate this. However the Supporting Acting in this movie takes away from the film because Its That BAD! Atrociously bad.

  • A wonderful drama of love, humor and tenderness, performed by two wonderful actors: Helen Mirren, Donald Sutherland.

  • I'd give this one better than average. Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland both play sympathetic characters on an unlikely journey heading to a likely ending. It was a bit of on the edge watching as Sutherland's Alzheimers character continued to drive the RV and Mirren kept taking her meds with whiskey. What could possibly go wrong? Both characters trying to live their lives in the present and suffering through remembering and not remembering their past provide the viewer with another way of knowing themselves.

  • Ok, it's not a perfect film and there are a couple of very implausible happenings but in my view it's not as bad as people are saying. I've worked with dementia sufferers for 30 years and have been in an amazing marriage for all of that time. This film is a very touching portrayal of both. The story develops with a subtle touch which drip feeds you with a history which informs the present, and the acting of course is wonderful. I think maybe much has been missed here and perhaps people have focussed on the clumsy passages which sadly do exist

  • Excellent movie - Sutherland was beyond brilliant. The story is a moving one , about the loss of control and even of adulthood that elderly people face. It was also extremely funny. Reviewers have their head up their butts.

  • You might need to be closer to the subject matter to appreciate what this film is about. Both stars are up to the task but Mr. Sutherland's role demands a turn on a dime, and he is up to the task. Unlike a list of superhero movies, this story is about real people with real problems.

  • A 70s something couple take there aging motorhome on a long ride trip to the Florida Keys. They both are seeking relief from their Afflictions. Old pros Hellen Mirren and Donald Sutherland are convincing in their roles while the rest of the cast appears to be bystanders called in at minimum wage. There are too few laughs that would have made this a better film. But in the end Mirren and SutherlandSutherland raise relevant Questions.

  • Who ever reviewed Leisure Seekers. Must have slept through the movie. Also this movie is not geared for the young generation. When people review, who ever judges must know the age group. That is a large factor. The movie is bitter sweet. Bring plenty of tissues. It is the story of the elderly parents taking one last vacation with each other in tbeir old Winnebego. Wonderful acting, recommended to the older sect. Loved it, and still thinking about it 4 days later.

  • I enjoyed this movie. Though sad and bittersweet, it was also funny and poignant, something I could understand and relate to.

  • I think this movie has themes that escape the casual moviegoer. It also apparently did that with whatever critics Rotten Tomatoes uses. I will just say it compares to "The Ice Storm," in a certain way. Those who catch that reference should definitely see this move.

  • The two lead actors in the film show that they can still bring out the best in a story but they both break their stereotypes in the process. Yes, Helen Mirren is stil regally elegant even when she takes off her wig. Donald Sutherland shows just a touch of his notorious wit.The story focuses on how these horrible diseases of old age can not only test a relationship but many times strengthen it.Well constructed, well acted and a perfect cameo by Dick Gregory.
