An aging movie star (Burt Reynolds) accepts an invitation to receive a lifetime achievement award at a film festival, but the ceremonies are far from the glamour he anticipated.

  • This is all about Burt's character, Vic, and of course Burt himself. A relatable and often touching tribute.

  • I believe over the years I have seen most of Burt Reynolds work, but this was amazing. The dynamic between Ariel Winter and her bitter OLD passenger grew into a precious friendship full of honesty, opening a door into both souls; divided by decades, it was moving to see them come together!

  • Much much better than I thought it would be. Sort of the real life story of Burt Reynolds.

  • Burt Reynolds through The Last Movie Star tells a story both beautiful and sad, he explores the dark side of fame and what it can do to a person but he also tells about Burt Reynolds the human being, and that itself is enough to make this film watchable, it falls under a weird kind of movies but it has a kick to it and it's too funny to hate. Burt Reynolds used the medium of film to express and showcase his illustrious life and he did it with style and it was a joy to watch, in a way it was a perfect send off to an amazing movie star.

  • Great movie, touches the heart. Feels like Burt's last curtain call. If you are a Burt Reynolds fan it will make you a bit teary eyed. Feels like an autobiography...

  • Honestly just look at this movie as a simple lesson to be learned, although the movie shows infancy in direction its point outweighs the hollywood hoopla.

  • My wife and I watched this movie mesmerized at first by how Mr. Renolds looks now but we got very involved with him and the characters and enjoyed nostalgic feelings as we are in our 60s and were young and beautiful when he was in his prime. We see ourselves aging through the aging or our favorite stars. Pass the Kleenex please.

  • A very special gem of a film!!!! It's an independent film with a sweetness and heart not soon to be forgotten. Burt Reynolds in such a raw and beautiful performance, there were times within the movie, I wanted to stand and applaud him His dynamic with the young, impressive actress, Ariel Winter works well. Poignant, Sad and funny. Burt, you are simply captivating in the role of Vic Edwards, "has been" movie star. I will see this movie again and again.

  • delightfully surprised and funwent to opening night in knoxville, where it was shot 2 years ago, with no big expectations. was a lovely movie. burt reynolds pulls off a great role. there are parts that are unexpected and combine the greatness of burt with his memories. I also loved his sense of humor. He still has it. ariel winter really got into her part and created a "character". the other supporting roles of the music and knoxville were wonderful also. i will probably see it again on april 13th when it returns to knoxville and take friends. If you love burt reynolds, please honor and enjoy his latest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
