Saint Nicholas is not the good-hearted children's friend as people think he is. In reality he is a cruel bloodthirsty bishop who, whenever there's a full moon on december 5, will try to slaughter as many children as possible. -- (C) Official Site

  • Enjoyable twist on the evil Santa genre that may not be particularly inventive, but manages to escape coming across as gimmicky. Borrows from the genre's American forebears fairly judiciously and is all the better for it.

  • It's a decent tongue-in-cheek Christmas horror/comedy with some witty dialogue and insanity, although it doesn't have quite enough of either to put it over the top.

  • Despite the cheesy premise, Saint is a funny and pretty entertaining horror comedy about a bad Santa.

  • Im not sure which country was responsible for this horror flick, but job well done! The special fx and scenic shots are supreme. The plot is great with plenty of room for a sequel. I just hate i saw this with English dubs on Netflix. I will def re-rate this once i can see it in their native tongue and subtitles.

  • Fun Dutch take on the Christmas Slasher subgenre. This time, though, instead of a killer Santa, it's a killer Saint Nicholas and the action takes place on St. Nicholas' Day (Dec 5). If you like your Christmas films dark, gory, and sickly funny, this cross-cultural treat is for you.

  • Not very much Sint seen , more black Piet's or something , just a thriller but then with the Sint .

  • The Dutch Silent Night, Deadly Night. Sometimes a bit too campy with "Hey look at us Dutch" content. The head villian stays pretty abstract and has only a small story as background.

  • I expected so much more (and of Black Pete to boot!), but if you like your horror gore filled and tongue placed firmly in cheek then this could be a goer

  • Santa Claus slasher films have become a kind of sub-genre unto themselves, and the Dutch film Sint at least takes that in a slightly different direction by focusing on the European legend of Sinterklaas and Black Peter instead of the American version of the myth. And Sint is an interesting film with some truly bizarre, original, and brutal scenes, but overall it just felt too cheesy and stupid to be really great.

  • A lot of horror movies are largely based on humor, and Saint's humor is mainly based on the traditions surrounding the Saint Nicholas holiday. You don't know the first thing about it? That might erode the charm of this movie. You do? Then hold on to your horses, because when the Saint comes north, the party goes south. When you see the first fountain of blood you'll know it: this is one of those movies with cheap scares, enough gore and a fair amount of humor. Next december, don't skip it.

  • It's no big surprise that this movie is absolutely stupid. But, with the exception of the terrible English dub (WHY couldn't they have just used subtitles?), this is actually pretty entertaining despite itself. If you're a fan of things like Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and horror/comedy, you will probably enjoy this.

  • B+A very bloody, christmas themed movie where no one is safe(Men, women, and children). The movie is actually pretty scary, and creepy. Has some jump scares too, which I love!
