  • While Spike Lee can rub people different ways, Pass Over was amazing on stage. The camera angles allow you to enter the actors faces and spaces, really pulling you into the emotion of the story. Theater on film, done in a meaningfully amazing way, and bringing back memories of growing up not far from where the play is set, on the other side of the park. Truly something that reminded me of friends from home in Chicago who have to this day, not made changes in their lives, still sitting in the block until sunrise. May they finally Pass over, in an impactful, fruitful way and not pass over this way.
