NERDLAND is the story of two best friends, aspiring screenwriter ELLIOT and aspiring actor JOHN, whose dreams of super-stardom have fizzled. With their 30th birthdays looming and their desperation growing, John and Elliot decide that in this 24/7, celebrity-obsessed world of over-shared navel-gazing, there are more ways to become famous -- or infamous -- then ever before. So why not become famous TODAY? NERDLAND is that day. Making up for what they lack in brains and talent with abundant, witless enthusiasm, John and Elliot troll Los Angeles on a fame-grab journey, encountering and abusing friends both new and old. Navigating their hyper-stimulating landscape of consumerism gone wild, our two consumers want desperately to be consumed -- and they will have their FAME, no matter what the cost.

  • Every daydream you held back when u 1st got online is fictionalized in this nerdland glowing polyamorphic ADULT only cartoon. And they are not skimpy on the length of episodes, the brand name stars signed up, or nudity with neon bursts melting the pastel pixels of the screen. :)

  • It may confuse vulgarity with humor at times, but Nerdland is by and large a consistently funny movie that works well as weekend night entertainment.

  • Nerdland does a very good job in showing the negative effects of craving fame in the 21st century. While many jokes and scenes should not be viewed by anyone under 17, the film accurately displays how media attention can drive someone to commit acts of violence and stupidity for the thought of fame and recognition.

  • Anyone who hates on this movie should stick with their Disney style movies. Those who can appreciate any style of animation, no matter its uniqueness, will be absolutely thrilled with this independent animation. This modern bubble-gum-esque film take a radically different style than all mainstream animation. With a man like Chris Prynoski, you should expect things to get a wee bit crazy. The color scheme of both character and background environment were psychedelic in design and left the eye bedazzled throughout each scene. I am so thankful that this movie wasnt anything like the standard animation that the big studios are shitting out these days. Yay for Chris Prynoski!!

  • at the end you'll say 'wtf did I just watch?'. It feels like an absurdist work and the protagonists may as well be an animated version of Vladamir and Estragon. Through that lens it does alright. The cringe-factor is likely intentional, the lack of logic and completely arbitrary plot devices will put some people off but I think it fits in well.

  • Andrew Kevin Walker's (Se7en) script is solid and the jokes shamelessly crude, making Nerdland a trusted entry into the canon of animated cult films like Heavy Metal or Fritz the Cat.

  • This bracingly savage satire sets its sights on one of the easier targets around: the fame-lusting wannabes who will take any available short cut to claim their fifteen minutes in the spotlight.
