5.0 Mannequin 2: On the Move
Drama, Comedy, Romance, Science Fiction & Fantasy
Basically a retooling of the original Mannequin, this sequel begins with a medieval European maid (Kristy Swanson) who is separated from her lover by an evil queen. More than 1000 years after the queen imprisons her, she is revived by a contemporary window-dresser (William Ragsdale), the reincarnation of the prince she loved.

  • Mannequin Two: On The Move is a great romantic comedy, sometimes it can be dumb but it's really entertaining. It's a very underated sequel but sometimes I think it's better than the original which I also loved.

  • Not as good as the original. This time a necklace freezes her for a thousand years.

  • This one, unlike the original, which I love, is freaking excruciating. And that's from someone who actually does quite like Kristy Swanson.

  • I actually liked this movie when I was a kid. It's not supposed to be an Oscar winning film. It's just a fun comedy full of cheesy music and over the top characters. If you are in the mood for a fun movie with that great 80's/early 90's feel, this is a great film to watch.

  • People hate this movie since they judge it too seriously and keep comparing it to the others, but to me it's good enough. Maybe it's because the movie is a part of my childhood. I watched it when I was 5, and now I still enjoy the movie. Jason and Jesse are two lovely actors, while Hollywood is so funny. Just watch the movie with a child's mind and you might feel the same as me.

  • The misadventures with mannequins continue in Mannequin: On the Move. In this fish out of water tale a famous mannequin known as the Enchanted Peasant Girl is brought to life after a thousand year curse is lifted. William Ragsdale and Kristy Swanson lead the cast and have good chemistry together. However, most of the characters (particularly the villains) are overly cartoonish and cliched. Additionally, the comedy quickly devolves into juvenile, slapstick humor that isn't very funny. A pathetic imitation of the original, Mannequin: On the Move is a formulaic piece of tripe that's rather joyless.
