Everyone deserves a great love story. But for seventeen-year old Simon Spier it's a little more complicated: he's yet to tell his family or friends he's gay and he doesn't actually know the identity of the anonymous classmate he's fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing. Directed by Greg Berlanti (Riverdale, The Flash, Supergirl), written by Isaac Aptaker & Elizabeth Berger (This is Us), and based on Becky Albertalli's acclaimed novel, LOVE, SIMON is a funny and heartfelt coming-of-age story about the thrilling ride of finding yourself and falling in love.

  • Love, Simon was a huge surprise for me, not only did it teach a valuable lesson that everyone should take away, but they did it in a fun and heartwarming way. Throughout the movie, you fell for every character, except one. You feel like you are there experiencing the life of Nick Robinson's character Simon, but you can not help out. Aside from some little things, the thing that brought this movie down a little bit was the character Martin, which most everyone who sees this movie will hate. Also the ending was a little bit lazy and predictable. Overall, this movie is great to watch with the people you love.

  • Love, Simon is a incredibly sweet coming (out) of age story with nice performances, good smart writing and dares to ask question about sensitive subject matters. While not nailing every scene perfect (a few moments of awkward humor sets it a little back), it should be seen by every teenager of young adult who could a story they might not be familiar with.

  • A tender, funny and moving comedy about coming out. Nothing groundbreaking but it's winsome simply on the merit of being witty and sincere.

  • I wanted to introdce the proverbial idea of 'gayness' to my boy Becket, because he can be whatever he wants, just like how I double up on genders to play both his mother and father sicne my wife left. He enjoyed the movie and batner. He doesn't right now know what gender he is onto. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my make shift soapbox

  • Just saw Love, Simon today. Took my almost 80 y/o Mom to see it with me. I don't go in for the fancy words the critics and some audience members like. I can say, it was one of the most beautiful movies of any type I had seen a long time. Being gay the subject matter was important to me and I remember feeling some of those very same feelings that Simon and Blue were feeling. I am not sure when the book was written and if I had one and only one negative thing to say about it, it would be that the whole bully-blackmail thing didn't ring as true now as it might have twenty years ago. Not that there isn't angst among young gays now but not nearly what there was in ages past. Nick Robinson is already a very good actor, with maturity I think he will be a great one. Go see it for a heartfelt coming of age, coming out and romantic film. Bring a tissue, there weren't many dry eyes in the theater. It has now far surpassed many films that the so-called critics loved and I thought were only mediocre. Hope anyone that sees it finds it just as beautiful as I did.

  • Happy tears; kudos to this amazing movie. I was only interested in it because of Jennifer Garner but hey this Nick Robinson guy was great and the best thing about it was the perfect family that made me cry. Witty, realistic, funny, creative and entertaining.

  • The script is too simple to allow the characters to develop some depth above their privileged lives disguised of representativeness, but the message it sends is nonetheless warm and beautiful.

  • As a closeted midwestern kid from the 80s-90s who finally came out in 2004 with a similiarly supportive network of family and friends, this resonated with me in ways that I was not expecting. If you let the film take you where it wants to emotionally, it's an intensely cathartic and delightful ride.
