  • If you are looking for a tearjerker romance movie, I highly suggest watching Irreplaceable You. I have watched other tearjerker romance movies, but none of them compared to this movie. I cried throughout most of this movie, which doesn't always happen for me. The story shows two best friends, Sam and Abbie, who have known each other their whole lives and are now engaged. I thought the actors who played these two roles did an excellent job. I liked how the director portrayed Abbie as a strong woman. Sometimes I feel like, in romance movies, the woman is always shown as some soft flower who doesn't always stand up for herself and just shuts down in a bad situation, like a breakup. This was not the case with Abbie. She was portrayed as a very determined woman when she put her mind to something. Which I liked because I felt like I could relate to her. In the movie, it shows Sam working as a TA for what seems like a medical anatomy and physiology class. Which, I have taken that class. So, it was fun for me to actually know what the characters were talking about in some parts; whereas, others might not have understood what was going on. I really liked how the movie wasn't strictly serious after Abbie gets diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. It shows her trying to plan out Sam's life without her and making sure it is full of happy, uplifting things. For example, Abbie sets up "appointments" with other girls to see if they are a right fit for Sam, so he isn't alone after she passes away. Which, is weird considering she's setting her finace up with other women, but it kind of creates a soft spot in your heart knowing she wants Sam to be happy. One flaw that the movie had was showing Abbie's sickness. It didn't portray her as someone who has cancer. You typically will think of extreme weight loss, in some cases, the loss of the hair, and throwing up. There were two scenes that showed her throwing up and losing a chunk of hair but that was really it. It didn't show her sickness over time like it should have. Overall, I really liked this movie. I highly suggest it if you're in a mood for a tearjerker movie.

  • One of the very few movies that made me shed a tear. It's not the typical boy meets girl and live happily ever after story. It shows personal growth and the fear of unknown. Its believable and relatable with each character having an impact on the overall film . All I would say Is make sure you watch this film on a good happy dya or you may need more than 1 box of tissues

  • I really enjoyed this film, some great poignant dialogue (Christopher Walken in particular) and I found it moving. What I didnt enjoy was the incredulous reviews by so called Knowledgable critics. Where are their minds? Hearts? Very well done would watch again. Female producer? Maybe thats why there was negativity. My mother fied from cancer and I found nothing in this film that made me negative.

  • This is one of the best movies I've seen in years. I was floored to see such a low rating considering the writing is beautiful and the actors themselves are both incredibly enjoyable, and heartbreaking.

  • There are so many bad reviews on here that it makes me angry. This is my favourite movie if you enjoy Dear John then you will enjoy this too, if you aren't some movie critic who is too caought up in what their review will say I'm sure you won't connect with the characters. If you are the right audience you will love this, if you are an old movie critic who only cares about hhow unique the characters are you'll probably be writing your own low review. Yeah the chracters might not have some SUPER unique quicks but that only makes it easier to emphasie. Anyway don't let these bad reviews stop you from watching an utterly incredible movie just check its google users ratings instead.

  • It is a good movie. Its starts very well. But at the middle of it... kinda lost itself. The story about her trying to find someone to him is cute at the begining but starts to be so boring and tiring. They didn´t know how to end the movie so they "killed" her before the wedding, the kinda of thing that can be good since the death of the main character isn´t a surprise, but make her death occour in that way was not a good surprise...

  • I watched the trailer and wanted to see this movie. It gives you all the feels and after experiencing losing my father to cancer, Christopher Walken's character resonates how my father acted and saw the big picture. I don't know why so many people have rated this movie so low. There are so many far-fetched movies made with unbelievable plots and stunts because no one wants to see the honest truth when it comes to seeing serious situations in their true form. The plot of this movie may not play out in real life the same way (childhood love) but that's not the only point of the story.

  • Irreplaceable You requires you to dive into your deepest emotions and sit there for a moment, this film has an undeniable sweetness and freshness to it that will leave you thinking, granted that the film uses a lot of clichés but weirdly it does it with a heartfelt attitude and very pure take on this genre.Having cleared all the technicalities, Irreplaceable You is brilliant filmmaking on so many levels, it spoke directly to my heart and that's something rare, these everyday things we take for granted will someday go and so do we, knowing that, everyone should treasure the little things and the people in our lives.Despite all the clichés and, Irreplaceable You is a great film and one that's worth watching if I may say so.

  • IRREPLACEABLE YOU- 64%Disappointing.The story is unique, with a new way of showing a love tragedy that I dont come across often. The death of the girl is shown in the first shot of the movie and the process of the movie is how the couple could cope and accept it. The story is nice but the structure was boring, the screenplay was uncanny, and the acting wasn't amazing. Story wise and execution: 1.6/3.5Acting: 1.6/2.5Camera work: 1.6/2Sound: 1.6/2Overall Score: 3.2/5
