  • Seen it, loved it. Complex thought is easily left out of the Genre movies more often than not, it's indeed refreshing to find a piece that gets to the thrill without making it the main subject. Biology and human psychology are characters on their very own. A must see, probably more than once. A new classic of the genre.

  • Engaging and thought provoking. It's either just a big beautifully disturbing Rorschach test, or the author has a specific message that I haven't quite been able to parse yet. Could it be, they're trying to say it that the core thing that you look to as a guide, as protection, is actually ruining everything? What a wonderful package to carry such terrible news.

  • Strange, weird, fantastice and beautiful at times.

  • Great to see SciFi passing the The Bechdel Test, which names the following three criteria: (1) it has to have at least two women in it, who (2) who talk to each other, about (3) something besides a man.

  • Upon multiple screenings, it is hard to not feel a lingering feeling of familiarity with these characters. While intentionally undeveloped, the characters in Annihilation serve as a vehicle to reflect the nature of life, and when we are told we must live it in its entirety; the inevitability of self-destruction.

  • Doesn't hold together perfectly as it loses some steam but still pretty good combination of sci-fi action with something to think about.

  • The movie was extremely strange, in the best way possible, visually, it was astounding. The effects were A+. However some parts were a little eerie, and the music was okay.

  • An interesting concept but a very confused movie that all seems, dare I say it, rather scrambled.

  • Annihilation is a movie with some ups and downs. Starting slow but quickly picks up steam about an hour in. Visually the movie has little comparison. People should enjoy this film and dissecting hidden messages, a personal one of mine regards the destructive habits surrounding nature. There is a creepy factor to this picture that is hard to ignore but it only adds to the quality of it. It is understandable how some would see this film as inferior, likely only because of its limited action sequences. It should be remembered that this story is one of a trilogy so some would not understand the final outcome of the film. Thoroughly enjoyable even with any shortcomings.

  • Annihilation was a great Sy Fy movie. Its kind of a better more exciting version of Arrival or some others. Natalie Portman is great, and beautiful of course, and the whole cast does fine. The suspense and mystery in this movie are what make this movie work. I highly recommend Annihilation to Sy Fy fans.
