Starring Shailene Woodley (Fault in Our Stars, Divergent films) and Sam Claflin (Me Before You, The Hunger Games films), ADRIFT is based on the inspiring true story of two sailors who set out to journey across the ocean from Tahiti to San Diego. Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin) couldn't anticipate they would be sailing directly into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In the aftermath of the storm, Tami awakens to find Richard badly injured and their boat in ruins. With no hope for rescue, Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved. ADRIFT is the unforgettable story about the resilience of the human spirit and the transcendent power of love.

  • Love story? Sailing adventure? Life and death struggle? I can't hurt a fish....Really!Pretty good entertainment, but you won't learn anything about sailing. Splish, splash anyone want a big sardine? For your $8 ticket, you'll get $10.79 worth of swim suit entertainment.

  • WARNING - If you're offended by nipples, this movie isn't for you. It's like Jennifer Aniston in every episode of Friends all over again, except it's Shailene Woodley. That being said, this is a pretty good flick overall. It wasn't an outrageously action oriented film, although it did have its moments. A majority of this movie is dialogue between blossoming lovers, and the end may or may not surprise you depending on how keen you are at picking up subtle hints. My wife and I enjoyed this movie on an early Sunday date, so the price was right. In hindsight I'm not sure I'd pay full price to see this in theaters though. This would be much better enjoyed on the couch during a lazy night in, and Shailene's nipples wouldn't slap you in the face quite so hard either. Definitely a must watch... just wait for Blu-ray.

  • Based on reviews I was expecting to be disappointed but I came away thinking this is the best sailing movie I have ever seen. It conveyed the beauty and horror of sailing with a passionate relationship.

  • Completely shocked at how much I loved this movie! It was equal parts gripping and sad. Shailene Woodley is an absolute star. This is how women should be depicted in all movies. I went into this film thinking I would be bored, but they did a great job of weaving the love story with the tragic events that occured. Also... did anyone else notice that Sam Claflin looks like a deflated Henry Cavill? He can get it, but for a price... I certainly would let him guide my rutters.

  • Powerful, extremely well written, gripping, no drawn out dull moments, liked the transitions from flashbacks to current. Don't miss clues to Woodley 's real struggles. Excellent performance from her.
