  • This movie is adorable and hilarious. The kids love it and there were plenty of laughable moments for parents. Timothy Omundson is a delight as usual.

  • I love it. I'm glad they let him keep cartoon characteristics rather than making him too real and boring. All the bad reviews that I've read make it sound as though they were expecting a PG-13 movie instead of a PG. I'll be happy if they make a sequel.

  • This movie was awesome how it captured Woody's craziness and speed the only scene I didn't like was when Woody caused the van to blow up with a person inside there that was just to far. Now this surprised me of they're being a live-action Woody Woodpecker movie I was like "How is this going to work out?". I am ot sure if this is original or not but Woody looked awesome and the main human characters, who I forget the names of, were a great MOTIVATION for Woody.

  • Didn't have the greatest start but got better in quality as the movie went. in some parts woody's mouth didn't sync with his voice every now and then but mostly was in sync. And some of the humor just didn't fit in some places and some of the acting wasn't the greatest.

  • I saw this on Netflix with my family. I grew up with the show and so did my mom, but I never guessed this would hit a movie deal. To anyone who has enjoyed this character, go and watch it. It has a few modern dated jokes, yes, but it mainly stays on it's cartoonish side of comedy and it does have a good tory, despite it having it been done before. This movie isn't annoying or soul crushingly bad, it's just Woody ;)

  • I just watched the new Woody Woodpecker movie with my family for our weekly movie night and we all LOVED it!!! It was such a treat for my parents and my wife and I, who all grew up watching the original cartoons to be able to turn our kids onto Woody too. They now love Woody as much as we did....and they can even do his laugh! The film is very, very FUNNY and the animation looks fantastic. At first I wasn't sure how I would like seeing Woody as a 3-D character when I've only known him as a 2-D one...but I have to say, I think this little red-headed troublemaker looks even better in 3-D and it was amazing to see how seamlessly he was inserted into the real world. The filmmakers stayed faithful to both Woody's classic look and his impish attitude of the original cartoons. But I have to say, I think the filmmakers even improved on Woody, giving him much more dimension and a bigger range of emotion than he ever had before. For example, he starts out as a loner but then comes to appreciate the true meaning of friends and family and you really feel bad for him at times. The pace of the movie is great and breezes along. Woody has some really fun musical scenes where he turns pecking on wood into drumming. The human actors are wonderful and it was treat to see Tim Omundson, who starred in both the TV shows Galavant and Psyche have to take on Woody in the ultimate human vs crazy bird turf war. From start to finish, this is a GREAT family film that is full of comedy, heart and nice themes about friendship and ecology. My family and I can't wait for the sequel!

  • Woody Woodpecker is true to the spirit of the original Walter Lantz cartoon. It has some genuine laugh out loud moments and has a great message. I think it's a wonderful, modern introduction to the character.

  • Better than the Yogi Bear movie!... Wait, I'm 28 and reviewing a straight-to-video Woody Woodpecker film which I'm comparing favorably to a Yogi Bear film. How is this my life?

  • Funny and kid-friendly, Woody Woodpecker captures the wackiness of the classic cartoon series and will appeal mostly to the younger audiences, even if it doesn't quite grab the attention of most adults.
