With unprecedented access, WALK WITH ME goes deep inside a Zen Buddhist community who have given up all their possessions and signed up to a life of chastity for one common purpose - to transform their suffering, and practice the art of mindfulness with the world-famous teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. Filmed over three years, in their monastery in rural France and on the road in the USA, this visceral film is a meditation on a community grappling with existential questions and the everyday routine of monastic life. As the seasons come and go, the monastics' pursuit for a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them is amplified by insights from Thich Nhat Hanh's early journals, narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch.

- Going to a journey, the movie itself is a meditation. For those just seeking it is just an introduction, for those already into practice it is the practice. Well done.Reply
- Beautiful and calming, "Walk with Me" made me think about how much kinder we would be if we slowed down. I entered a dreamlike state during the middle of the film and may have briefly fallen asleep. Seeing people so happy and living with so little brought tears to my eyes. Colors were enhanced and my gratitude for my wife was stronger when I left the theater.Reply
- A pleasant viewing but I think it was made more for people in Sanghas (meditation communities) than the general public. It is a show not tell movie. However, there was not enough "telling" for the average person with little knowledge of Buddhism. I would not recommend spending 10+ dollars to see in a theater for the average person.Reply
- The movie is slow and gentle. I found myself more and more relaxed as I was was walking with Thich and also accompanying the monks and nuns in their work and life. This was a "movie meditation" - sweet and touching, peaceful and gentle. I saw him in the mid-1990's and he is a gentle soul. We need people like him and his community who seek a deeper connection to themselves, to others and our earth.Reply
- I wanted to like tihis as I have Buddhist leanings.. But meh.. boring, wandering, random, no bones, no meat. Lovely narration by Benedct Cumberbatch and some pretty scenes, some pretty words, some nice faces.Reply
- Really peaceful film. It's more about a day in the life of a monk/nun, not so much about the entire Buddhist philosophy. Reminds of how important it is to take a break from the rat-race of life, and be in the moment.Reply

- It's a soothing portrait of people pursuing the ineffable, gliding along with the elderly Thich and his disciples.Reply
- A sensual and surprisingly fascinating documentary film that slows you right down to its own meditative tempo.Reply
- ... enjoyment of meditative documentary Walk with Me depends largely on whether or not a viewer is prepared to sign up to the program.Reply
- This documentary has a meditative immersive quality. However, it may make for challenging viewing for some at times which may require the exercise of mindfulness.Reply
- If you aren't into new-ageiness, its meditative pacing, preachy voiceover and closeups of shiny, hard-shelled ladybirds might grate, though its continual call to return to the present moment is hard to ignore.Reply
