  • The actions of the main protagonist have my complete support. As Klingons used to say: "Revenge is a dish better served cold."

  • I thought this was a surprisingly decent revenge thriller. True, the main star is Danny Dyer who hasn't starred in a decent film since Football Factory / Severance but this is a darker more restrained version of the loud mouth cockney we've seen in other films. The film also had a neat kind of twist in that not all of the obviously 'safe' characters are actually that safe at all. There are a few obvious cliches found in all films of this type and the ending doesn't just leave it open for a sequel but it seems a whole franchise which I think is a mistake but if you can let them go then this is a decent thriller.

  • This was a phenomenal thriller if you enjoy feeling as if you would've been better off slamming your head into the concrete road while a mack truck approaches and never even attempts to slow as it slams into you at 90 MPH and you begin to drop a load of feces into your pants and vomit the byle in your stomach all over yourself! Also as you survive the trauma and get the magnificent chance to live out the rest of your natural life as a vegetable in a chair where you are in a constant pile of your own green butt-juice as well as your consistently bloody urine. While also wearing a vomit covered shirt because nobody will come even to just to clean you as you are unable to even drag yourself out of all the unfortunate piles of immense bodily fluids! So to sum it up, you are much better off driving a dagger into your eyes instead of even contemplating watching even a seven minute trailer about this movie.

  • I really do not like when my friends recommend a movie to me and I have to write a negative review, but I have no other option for this action film written and directed by Stephen Reynolds and starring Roxanne McKee, Danny Dyer, Vincent Regan, Simona Roman and Bruce Payne. The story was about a British Army special operations interrogation officer Jimmy Vickers (Danny Dyer) tracking down a gang who burned his parents alive while at the same time avoiding being cought by police. With police almost catching him near his old apartment, and his old unit on his saving him, he has 48 hours to complete his gruesome crusade. And gruesome it was... how could you enjoy someone being burned or acid poured over his head, or cement pour into the mouth!? Doesn't matter if we say, "They deserved it..." - it will always be very difficult for me to accept the person who keeps doing it as a hero! Directing in general wasn't too bad, but some of the casting was questionable. Details which were not taken care in the directing were annoying - how parents who were Anglicans have their son praying in Orthodox Church, I am not sure... or lightning up petrol with a cigarette butt (please, try... doesn't work) when car explodes in less than 5 seconds... how three guys shooting with automatic weapons or guns in a 5 m long hallway about a 1.5 wide miss the two men going towards them... I have to say that those details insult the intelligence of the future viewers. I could forgive lots of the screenplay holes but when they were combined with directing lack of care, it was impossible to forget. I have to praise the photography, though! Haider Zafar as Director of Photography has shown focus on a strong visual style and likes to incorporate narrative where possible. He was the brightest spot in this project! The film was released in a few select cinemas in the UK on 22 November 2013 where it was the most successful Danny Dyer film since Dead Man Running. If you want to see a modern British action thriller which could be categorized by some as good, and by others as 'jaw-droppingly awful' watch this sometimes bizarre and ludicrous piece of revenge porn.

  • The producers must have not the budget to hire Jason Statham, or the finance to hire a top quality martial arts choreographer so they hired the next best thing ....... Danny Dyer. It starts off really well but as it unfolds it contains more plot holes than a Jim Bowen dart board but it is a decent revenge flick. It is easy to pick on Dyer and he is always an easy target for abuse, and even though he generally stars in aload of wank I actually find him watchable (documentary's, voice overs and interviews aside). He is the balls in this as he dishes out revenge on the gang on Innit scum who killed his parents. it is a blast watching him hunt the scum down one by one and dishing out some real justice.

  • Why is it that all of the indie UK based films I've seen are always thug/gangster related. I'm not bothered by it I'm just wondering. Even so, this film was actually quite decent. Sure, it's not art or anything new but for a revenge thriller this one was actually quite realistic and well made. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has already done these type of actions after family was killed. Yknow what, the world we live in these days is so screwed up I'd be shocked if someone HADNT done this yet. I like the fact that I was really able to hate the bad guys in a matter of seconds, the things they do are just horrible and you want to see them get killed and the film delivers. Like with any film there were problems and there were some things that could have been improved, just personally, I'd like more development for the parents before they're killed and little things like that, than do not really matter but this is nothing that's going to stop me from liking this movie. It's a small indie revenge flick, you can't go into it expecting it to change you as a person or to be thought provoking. It'll entertain you and you'll forget about it in a few days.

  • Surprisingly good - an entertaining revenge flick - all the usual cliches were there but it's worth a watch, one of the many Danny Dyer films in which the gherkin in London features.

  • Danny dyer does the punisher lol let that sink in for a bit. To be fair his best film in a long time (I'm a fan of all revenge thrillers so biased) and performance. The kills are more torture porn than action. Roxanne McKee is just terrible in this film
