When Elle Evans (Joey King), a pretty, late-bloomer who's never-been-kissed, decides to run a kissing booth at her high school's Spring Carnival, she unexpectedly finds herself locking lips with her secret crush- the ultimate bad boy, Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). Sparks fly, but there's one little problem: Noah just happens to be the brother of her best friend, Lee, (Joel Courtney) and is absolutely off limits according to the rules of their friendship pact. Elle's life is turned upside down when she realizes that she must ultimately make a choice: follow the rules or follow her heart. Based on Beth Reekle's self-published coming-of-age novel that became an international sensation, THE KISSING BOOTH is a Netflix Film, written and directed by Vince Marcello

  • Although the kissing booth is a teen movie, and is very predictable, it is still a good movie and is fitted perfectly for a teen. I laughed and cried during this movie.

  • Old people are bashing this movie. Sure it's over romanticized, and there are many elements that are overly dramatic, but they don't understand hardships in high school from bullies, to girls falling for jerks instead of the good boys. If you are a teen high schooler, no matter what gender, it's worth trying out.

  • I watched this last night on netflix. It was better than I thought. There are references to breakfast club and a few other movies throughout the flick. It is cute. Some people have said that the movie isn't very good or it objectifies abusive tendencies towards women. I didn't see that; instead, i saw the character of "elle" stand up for herself, have a healthy relationship with her Bff, and determine her own path. the evans and flynns have a unique family relationship that is lacking in today's society and that is very welcoming. the parents are involved in their children's lives and are supportive in ways that many of today aren't. they allow their children to make their own decisions. the few things that i didn't like about the movie was noah's constant fighting, some of the strong language, the idea of teen sex, and the typical rich kid vs everyone else stereotype. And lastly, i was a bit confused. I thought elle and her bff were younger than noah; the prom scene confused me because it gave off the appearance that they were all in the same class. again, this is a teen flick and not meant to be oscar worthy. worth the rental. i would like to see the three leads do more in their future. recommended movie to watch.

  • I loved this movie. It was just a sweet romantic, and it shows what teens face in today's society. It is truly a setting in High School and how it really is.

  • Coming from a member of the writers' intended audience, an 18-year-old girl, this movie was very well crafted. I had tears streaming down my face more than any movie I've ever watched and I'm not a movie-cryer! The casting was perfect and the allusions to the Breakfast Club weren't making it "look anything other than lazy and amateur next to other teen classics." In fact, they brought a whimsical sense of nostalgia which matched what the characters experienced looking at their prom memory walk. The lead actress isn't just some photoshopped-looking girl like in most movies, but rather a pretty, but still normal-looking teenage girl! One critic mentioned the sexualization of young girls but I found it to be not only realistic in what teen girls deal with, but also refreshing to not be viewed from the male's perspective. The drinking and sex were a bit overkill but were vital to the plot line and not unlike real life. It was kept very modest and even included a birth control method! The main character also mentions adjusting to her new "proportions" after puberty at 15-years-old which a lot of girls don't understand. Yes, boobs and hips are coming but nobody ever told me in sex-ed that finding jeans that fit the way it should isn't the same for everyone. Unlike most teen-romance movies, the film concluded with the main character content in how things are no matter what ends up happening between her and her boyfriend because of college. Everybody talks about leaving for good when it comes to college but this was a very realistic example of how you may not know what will happen, but you know everything is going to be okay.
