  • I'm tremendously distressed about how roughly the animals in this movie were handled. Apart from that it was hard to find any of the characters likeable or sympathetic, except of course Charlie. I wanted to like Jimmy, and maybe part of me did, but most of his character development was done through increasing level of whininess. I wanted to like Albert, and he did win points for bringing the duck home instead of letting it be cooked, but that was about where it ended with him. I think I did accomplish mostly liking the wife, even if she was a complete moron, she was nicer and significantly less of a gold digger than similar Disney roles like Betsy in The Absent Minded Professor. That was it for likeable characters on any level.I guess the brothers with the.... go kart? I don't know what you call it... but the brothers were the more fun element to the film so I guess that gains them a little likability. I feel like the humor was probably dated, and that I'd probably find the whackiness of the prolonged chase seen amplified and more endearing if I had seen this as a kid.

  • The critics don't know golden entertainment even when it is as clear as day. I wouldn't go as far as to say that this is one of my favorite live-action Disney films, but it is a lot of fun. The remarkably talented Dean Jones puts on a wild show. He really doesn't get the credit he deserves as so few can entertain on screen the way he did. (First and only viewing - In my mid-twenties)

  • A cute story in the time when Disney was in its prime form of live action films.Million Dollar Duck is the story of Prof. Albert Dooley who takes care of a lab duck after she is considered a failure and how she is able to produce golden eggs after being accidently subjected to radiation, along with the benefits and downfalls of having such an extraordinary animal. The movie is great for a family film, with some good laughs and a cute plot.

  • You will like this movie about a duck that produces Golden eggs when dog barks. I am a gold/silver investor. This is a fantasy come true for me and others. Jones(mr disney in 70s) is funny as ever. Good family friendly movie.

  • Besides having a great title, I don't think this movie had much going for it.
