Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter's feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne). James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm, with Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley performing the voice roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.

  • It loses a lot of the more gentle whimsy of the English source material, in favour of American animation tropes (most egregiously, bloody awful, totally unrelated pop music as background music instead of scoring some scenes), but it's a lot more charming, clever, fun and faithful to the spirit of Potter's work than I had been expecting, actually, so kudos to the makers for avoiding the usual pitfalls and generally horrific quality of these "CG characters in live action settings" movies.

  • Cute. Funny. Would probably watch again sometime. Probably not by myself, but if I was babysitting or something.

  • Why people compare this to Paddington I have no idea. Apart from them both being stories for children there is very little in common exc ept they have made animated movies of these characters. I enjoyed it. My daughter loved it. I laughed at a few parts. I came away feeling happy. Would have liked the guy in the film not to be shown as an idiot as is the general sexisit rule of feminist propaganda in most films have these days, but apart from that not bad at all.

  • Even though its short its not bad. Peter rabbit is a very cutie family film with charm I mean I had fun watching it off the box here the rabbits are so cutie the visuals of the rabbits are well crafted very cutie and fun looking and well voice acting from the actors too and bringing charm to these characters and I like that but the one thing is about this film is its short I mean I want it to be a little longer because I like the rabbits they are so cutie and I just so love them. Overall peter rabbit is a very cutie and fun family film with charm and heart even though I wanted the film to be longer but I had fun watching it and that is the point of it. Good job Columbia Pictures you guys made a well done family fun with charm and heart for the whole family to love. Good job and well done and one more thing THE RABBITS ARE SOOOOOO CUTIE.

  • Not a good as it's source material though but Peter Rabbit is funny and enjoyable. I did expect it to be a big flop and very edgy. Very happy that it wasn't what I thought it was gonna be.

  • While seeming like a generic and mediocre family film in the first act with them antagonizing a person that seems just like a person trying to get along with being fired, it really pulls itself together in the last act with a sense of self-awareness not just with the movie but the entirety of the family movie genre as a whole. I do recommend this movie to people who enjoy family films
