  • This story is INSANE. Hard to believe something this complex, fascinating and disturbing could occur in real life; think 2017's Tickled, only better. Is Gypsy purely a victim? A pathological liar? An abuse survivor? A mentally confused and stunted young girl? A willing participant? A product of over medication and abuse? Probably a mixture of all of this and more, each taking its turn at the forefront of her personality. A sad, enrapturing and pulpy crime doc.

Impresionante.

  • Quietly, yet shockingly compelling.Your heart is torn to pieces, but at the same time, thanks to this incredible filmmaking, you are also shown the balance of understanding what's behind the madness. There is no hero in this one. From one prison to another. This will trigger your emotions, and yet sober you up to be more aware of things around you. This has somehow shaken even my view of hand holding.5 out of 5

  • Interesting. I wasn't familiar with the case going in, but I got sucked into this pretty quickly.

  • The incredible and gruesome true story about a mother that forces her daughter to act seriously sick. Gypsy is put in a wheelchair, she is given loads of meds she does not need, she gets a feeding tube, she's getting her head shaved - well her mother DeeDee is not treating her like mother normally treats their children. As DeeDee is suffering from Munchausen syndrome by proxy - the need of forcing someone into their care, basically, Gypsy is naturally the one to truly feel sorry for here. She get's help to kill her own mother and the police and state get's the details of this vivid story, we follow the trial as well as the entire backround of Gypsy's life.Sad and disturbing documentary, that may give you some shocks aimed at people and humanity.7 ouf of 10 abusers.

  • The true story is just absolutely nuts which makes this relentlessly engaging material to watch. While it's just purely the factual story, it's a disturbing and incredibly entertaining way to spend an hour and 20 minutes. True crime is too fucked up to believe sometimes, this is one of those stories.

  • Good Solid Documentary. I feel that it's missing something, but worth a watch on a very crazy life story of GypsyRose and her nutty mother.

  • Tragic. So many people could have stopped this. One of the few times I sympathized with a person found guilty of murder.

  • A fantastic documentary that leaves you wondering who was really in the wrong, while throwing more disturbing information in front of you. But, it seems like some topics were stretched a bit too long.
