  • No idea why the reviews are so low. It was sweet and wonderfully done. A refreshing new movie among countless remakes and awful sequels.

  • We're going to have to impound the cat.Justin has aspirations to become a knight but isn't getting where he's going in his home town so he embarks on a mission to become a knight. He meets a series of friends on the mission also trying to find themselves. The young warriors come together to build characters and their legends."This was a big mistake."Manuel Sicilia, director of The Missing Lynx, delivers Justin and the Knights of Valor and his second major motion picture. The storyline for this picture is average but contains interesting characters and sub plots. The animation style is good and the voices includes Antonio Banderas, Freddie Highmore, James Cosmo, Mark Strong, Alfred Molina, and Michael Culkin."Your destiny isn't here."I came across this on Netflix and added it to my queue to watch with my daughter. We watched it and it was a poor man's How to Train a Dragon. I did like it and thought it was okay but a just above average addition to the genre."This is only a stone."Grade: C+

  • Minor effort about a kid, who's granddad was a big deal of a knight in shining armor, aspiring to be the same. As with many animated works before, its all looks but precious little scripting and you'll be checking for possible dirt under your fingernails before the end of it.

  • I guess I am able to forgive the clunkieness, and I enjoyed the second part of the film enough to warrant a second viewing.

  • This is a good movie. Maybe not high art, as few movies are. But very watchable and certainly entertaining. The art style is crisp, colorful and clean. It will appeal to children and adults who are familiar with Pixar style movies. All the reviews that talk about it being a knock-off or imitation of recent movies are entirely off the mark. The story told here is simple, heart warming and has a strong moral compass - yes. In that respect, it imitates. It has the same core elements that any good story does. An unlikely but determined protagonist, an evil antagonist and a diverse ensemble of unique supporting characters who contribute to the story. Yet, it is as different from any recent animated movies as Brave is from How to Train Your Dragon. The story told is different - though it may be simple, as it is in most of these movies.Justin's journey from push-over to knight is not a grand saga, but it's a fun little romp with charming and well animated characters.Particularly I enjoyed Talia, Melquides and the kinda-gay-but-maybe-just-fashionable Sota. People complain about the humor being off. I'm sorry, but laughing did not occur to me. Being entertained did. Usually physical humor doesn't elicit laughs from anyone but small children. I think it's a well made movie that I am tempted to give 5 stars to even out the ridiculous low ratings it is receiving by people who're obviously unable to accept that companies outside the USA can make decent animation.Target audience is probably anyone between 6 to whatever age someone starts being a grumpy fart and unable to enjoy innocent fantasy. It's a movie for children and teens, but adults can enjoy it too. I like this movie and I recommend it heartily.

  • many stereotypes from animated films come through yet again in this film. That being said, there were some excellent storytelling techniques used. The animation wasn't very inspiring. The voice cast did a good job. The sound design and music were good.

  • Out entire family enjoyed it at the screening and we have already ordered several DVD copies! Great animation; better than "Frozen" and other typical animated films.

  • Far from the most original story it does have charm, great voices, is beautiful made and it is loads of fun. And it avoids loads of pitfalls this type of story could have. Very entertaining and fun.

  • An animated film that may not reach the mainstream audiences as Shrek or Puss in Boots did, but that none the less has a story that is inspiring if you are willing enough to not be swept away by the simplicity of the action. A movie sometimes needs only to make an old storyline shine again, and this one has accomplished that quite wonderfully.

  • A fun animated "action flick" for the whole family, with some good 3D effects.
