Bateman and McAdams star as Max and Annie, whose weekly couples game night gets kicked up a notch when Max's charismatic brother, Brooks (Chandler), arranges a murder mystery party, complete with fake thugs and faux federal agents. So when Brooks gets kidnapped, it's all part of the game--right? But as the six uber-competitive gamers set out to solve the case and win, they begin to discover that neither this game--nor Brooks--are what they seem to be. Over the course of one chaotic night, the friends find themselves increasingly in over their heads as each twist leads to another unexpected turn. With no rules, no points, and no idea who all the players are, this could turn out to be the most fun they've ever had... or game over.

- Reworking David Fincher's "The Game" as a comedy seems like something that should have happened awhile ago, it also shouldn't have been this enjoyable. Everyone in the cast gets a chance to shine and the script balances the goofier material with the violent scenes really well.Reply
- 1h40m of wonderful smart comedy. Good movies are far and view between these days and this is a good one.Reply

- Game Night is a really funny, really well executed film with exceptional camera work (the faberge egg sequence is masterful), the latter of which was extremely unexpected. It was a little distracting, frankly, because you don't typcially see directorial flourishes of that caliber in a comedy film, but here we are. If I have one complaint, it's that you could probably shave off about 10 minutes worth over saccarine sentimentality that I don't think really belongs in this movie, but it's a minor complaint. I was laughing throughout the entire run time of this film, and that is something that is rare and truly impressive.Reply

- This movie is an entertaining watch. The last half an hour of this movie is really funny. The first hour is only mediumly funny. The dialouge on it's own in this movie is not enough to keep the laughs coming. However the film itself is kind of like a mild thriller mixed with a comedy and there is enough going on in the movie to keep you entertained. The comedy more comes from funny scenario's rather than dialouge and the move itself also provides entertainment from the thriller side of it's plot line. Jese Plemons steals the movie and gives an excellent performance and also his character provides the funniest moments of the film. The film easily holds your attention throughout and is a film you could return to a watch again. A good light hearted movie which also has some thrills and spills.Reply

- Laughter aaall the way. This is the most hilarious comedy of the last 9 months. There hasn't been anything funnier than this since Ryan Reynold's "The Hitman's Bodyguard" in 2017. Silly family comedy with the necessary/unnecessary bits of violence which just makes you laugh even more. The story needs about 15 minutes to get into action, but then it's a nonstop of innocent and ridiculous scenes and comments. The whole setup and story evolution reminds a lot of some 70/80ies movies like "Murder by Death" or "Clue". I doubt there could be anybody not enjoying this. The cinema last night was filled with loud and uncontrollable laughter like I haven't heard in a long time. Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams are at their best. 8 1/2 out of 10 points.Reply
- Funny as shit, lots of twists and turns story-wise, and the cinematography was top notch. There's a crazy "hot potato" action scene that's both hilarious and jaw dropping in execution. Rent it, buy it, whatever. Just make sure to see this film.Reply
- much like the Hangover film this is a suspense film (with more gore for sure) peppered with some very funny moments. this is the direction comedy should be going in as opposed to lame predictable plotlines just going for the punch lines and pratfalls.Reply
- "Game Night" is a funny, over-the-top comedy with a thin premise and a few contrived moments, but flawless execution.Reply
- Unexpectedly well scripted and shot (the egg sequence) with great leads and few flaws, Game Night is far better than anyone could've reasonably expected.Reply
- This movie! Why did I wait so long to see this. One of the most fun movies I've watched in a long time. You never know what's going to happen next. Also, lets talk about the writing for the movie. So freaking good!Reply
- "Game Night" embodies the very best of its namesake - Clever, funny, energetic and driven by a charming cast that's allowed to completely cut loose.Reply
