  • Good movie, lots of fun! Not revolutionary, but does a pretty good job portraying debate competitions and the leads have good chemistry. Plus Uza Abuda is in it so that's amazing. Nice light watch, excellent for the high school romance genre - with just enough chessieness that it's not cringey or taking itself too seriously. A minor character dies somewhat unexpectedly, and it isn't extremely well done, but doesn't take too much away from the overall movie. Highly recommend to kill some time. Very cute!

  • Amazing movie with relatable characters, a complex plot and an unusually welcomed predictable ending.

  • This coming of age had a refreshing twist on the stereotypical teen movie. Although the movie went slowly at times, the acting was brilliant and pulled the movie through. The movie had brilliantly written characters and a lovely score that added personality to the movie. A great watch for younger high-schoolers but some older children may find it boring.

  • Candy Jar is a surprisingly sweet and touching teen romance drama that goes down easy and had me craving seconds.

  • 'Candy' turns out to be the most apropos way to describe Candy Jar. It's reliably sweet and empty, a fine choice for anyone looking for a light option.

  • This is a highly watchable movie that doesn't break any new ground but will, at worst, make you think of a good half-dozen other great movies like it.
